FUTURE OF TEA INDUSTRY IN TANZANIA

Production is likely to increase in the coming few years and consumption is also moving up with the increased number of blending and packing factories, consumers have a wide choice of tea due to the presence of various brands of tea.

The tea board of Tanzania is currently working on preparation of Ten years National Tea programme. The aim of the programme is to promote tea production, processing and marketing through establishment of an enabling environment by adjusting the factors of performance.
